Getting Dressed With a Friend

I’m not here because I want to be an influencer.

I’m not trying to convince you to buy things. I’m not trying to make you feel like you need a different closet, a different body, or the newest trend.

I’m here because I genuinely love helping women feel good when they get dressed.

I love taking something you may already own and saying, “Try this with it.” Add the brown belt. Change the shoe. Try the lighter denim. Put navy with turquoise. Roll the sleeve. Tuck the shirt differently.

Sometimes that tiny change is all it takes to make you look in the mirror and think, Okay… now I feel like myself.

And that’s what I care about.

Yes, when I find something beautiful, I’ll share the link so you don’t have to spend an hour searching for it.

And I want to be really transparent about that, because I know how social media works now. Sometimes you click a link and immediately wonder, Is she sharing this because she actually loves it, or because she’s making money if I buy it?

That part has always bothered me too.

I don’t want you wondering what my motive is. I’m not here because I need to make money from your clicks or your purchases. I’m here because I genuinely enjoy helping women put things together, find their style, try a new color combination, or simply feel a little more confident about what they already own.

If I share a link, it’s because I’m trying to make it easier for you to find something, not because I’m trying to make something off of you.

And honestly, you don’t even have to buy the exact piece I share.

Use it as inspiration.

Find something similar at a different price point. Shop your own closet. Take the color combination, the shape, the shoe idea, the belt, or the styling trick and make it your own.

There is already so much pressure in the world telling women what they should look like, what they should buy, and who they should be.

I would much rather this be a place that simply helps.

A place where women can come for honest fashion advice, ideas, encouragement, and maybe a little inspiration when getting dressed feels harder than it should.

For this look, I loved the combination of a classic navy linen shirt, lighter wide-leg denim, a rich brown leather belt with that unexpected pop of turquoise, and a simple tan kitten heel.

Nothing overly styled. Nothing complicated.

Just really good pieces working beautifully together.

My hope is that Dinner at 45 becomes a place you can come when you’re standing in front of your closet thinking, “What in the world do I wear with this?”

And maybe I can help.

Not as an influencer.

As a woman who loves clothes, loves putting beautiful things together, and genuinely wants other women to feel beautiful too.

Think of shopping with a real friend who truly cares about you, how you feel, what works for you, and helping you feel beautiful in your own way. 🤍💙🤎

Because helping another woman feel a little more confident in what she wears matters to me far more than a click ever could.
