Fall Means Football… and Fashion

It’s here, ladies. College football season.

Some people hear kickoff and think plays, stats, and rivalries. I hear kickoff and immediately start mentally styling my sideline runway. Because let’s be real, Saturdays in the fall aren’t just about football; they’re about the look.

Last year, I went all-in on sparkles and dresses, think “stadium glam meets halftime show.” But this year? I’m taking a fresh twist. I’m talking cute midi skirts and tops in true Army colors black and gold topped off with the perfect pair of earrings (because earrings are a non-negotiable in my playbook). It’s chic, it’s game-day ready, and it’s so me.

And until the weather turns crisp, I’ll be living in those skirts and flirty tops. Once the chill rolls in, it’s all about bundling up in my super sweet coat-and-sweater combos that still say, “Yes, I’m warm, but I’m also fabulous.”

Why Football Is My Fall Gala

I grew up in the Deep South, where football is basically religion and game day is our version of the Oscars. My Auburn roots taught me that you dress for football, head to toe, spirit in every stitch. Now, as an Army wife, I’ve taken that same energy to West Point. The tradition, the pride, the tailgates… it’s all there, just with a black-and-gold twist.

Here’s the thing, college football in the South is more than a game. It’s community. It’s family. It’s a reason to gather, eat too much, yell at the refs, and secretly scope everyone’s outfits. For me, it’s also a chance to blend that Southern “dress-to-impress” charm with a little Army grit.

Go Army, Beat Navy (and Look Cute Doing It)
